Available Amenities on Your Chesapeake Bus Rental
Not every Chesapeake group trip calls for the same setup — and the vehicle lineup has the range to match. A 15- to 50-passenger party bus is the right pick for a celebration night in the Greenbrier Entertainment District or a bachelorette crawl through Virginia Beach's ViBe Creative District, with a full-length bar, color-changing LED lighting, Bluetooth sound, and wraparound perimeter seating built in. A 15- to 35-passenger minibus is the smarter fit for corporate shuttles between Harbor View and a downtown Norfolk meeting, with reclining seats and powerful climate control for I-64 runs.
For large group moves — multi-day conventions, festival crowds heading up to Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater — a 40–56 passenger charter bus adds onboard restrooms, undercarriage luggage bays, and overhead storage so the trip stays comfortable from Chesapeake to the venue and back. Amenities vary by vehicle, so compare options side by side right here or call 948-208-8200 any time.

Chesapeake Party Bus Prices for Your Trip
Party bus rental prices in Chesapeake generally run $200–$350 per hour for most vehicles on weekdays, with weekend hourly rates typically landing between $200 and $500 depending on vehicle size and demand. As a planning guide: a 25-passenger party bus runs roughly $250–$375 per hour on weekends, while a charter bus for a large group move to Norfolk or Virginia Beach can run $200–$350 per hour. A minibus for a corporate shuttle or field trip typically falls between $200 and $275 per hour on weekdays.
Those ranges are planning figures — the price moves with your date, route, group size, and how much lead time you have. The fastest way to get a quote for your specific trip is to fill out the quick form or call 948-208-8200. Pricing for your exact itinerary takes about a minute to pull up.

The Easy Way to Compare Chesapeake Party Bus Rentals
Chesapeake is one of the largest cities by land area in Virginia — nearly 339 square miles of land — which means the gap between your hotel block in Greenbrier and your venue in Great Bridge or Deep Creek can easily run 20–30 minutes each way before you factor in I-64 traffic or the backup at the Chesapeake Expressway toll plaza. Coordinating that across multiple cars, or waiting on rideshare surge pricing at midnight when an event lets out, is the kind of friction that turns a great night into a logistical headache.
Hamptonpartybuscompany.com exists to take all of that off your plate. One form or one call to 948-208-8200 gets you pricing and vehicle options from providers serving Chesapeake and all of Hampton Roads — you compare buses and rates side by side, find what fits your group, and move forward. No callback loop, no per-company descriptions, no account required.
Because this is just a comparison website and not a single operator, you're never limited to one fleet. You get options. And finding the right one, at the right price, takes about a minute.
Chesapeake Party Bus & Group Transportation Services
Hamptonpartybuscompany.com helps you find group transportation for every occasion in Chesapeake — from airport runs and wedding shuttles to concert trips, corporate events, bachelorette nights, prom, sporting events, field trips, and winery tours. Whatever brings your group together, there's a bus ready for it.

Chesapeake Airport Shuttles & Transportation
The two airports serving Chesapeake create two very different planning problems. Norfolk International Airport (ORF) (2200 Norview Ave, Norfolk, VA 23518) sits roughly 18 miles from central Chesapeake — about 30–35 minutes on a clear run up I-64, but that stretch routinely backs up during morning and evening peaks, and there is no cell phone lot for large commercial vehicles. Coordinate your group's arrival and have everyone assembled with luggage before contacting the vehicle — ORF's ground transportation area handles curbside commercial pickup on the Arrivals level, but timing matters at a mid-size airport with tight curb space.
For groups flying through Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport (PHF), the drive from Chesapeake runs roughly 40–50 minutes up I-664 through the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel corridor — a stretch notorious for multi-mile backups when an incident closes a lane. A charter bus or minibus that stages on a set schedule is far easier to coordinate across a multi-flight group than trying to sequence individual rideshares across two airports. Check the PHF airport shuttle guide for more on that specific routing.
Call 948-208-8200 to set up your Hampton Roads airport transfer today.

Chesapeake Bachelor & Bachelorette Transportation
Virginia Beach's Atlantic Avenue strip and the ViBe Creative District are the go-to for Hampton Roads bachelorette nights — and getting there from Chesapeake by rideshare on a Friday or Saturday means surge pricing by 10 PM and a complete lottery for getting home after last call. A 20- to 30-passenger party bus solves both problems and adds the party amenities that make the ride part of the night itself: LED lighting, a built-in bar, Bluetooth sound, and the whole group in one place from the first pickup to the last drop-off.
A Chesapeake bachelorette party bus rental running from a Great Bridge or Greenbrier pickup through Virginia Beach and back runs weekend rates of roughly $275–$425 per hour for a 30-passenger bus, depending on the date. Virginia Beach's resort strip on event weekends — Patriot's Weekend, Funky Fest, Friday Cheers — sees rideshare wait times stretch past 30 minutes after midnight. Locking in a return pickup time means no one is standing on Atlantic Avenue hoping an app comes through.
Call 948-208-8200 to compare options and dates.

Chesapeake Birthday, Sweet 16, & Quinceañera Party Bus Rentals
Chesapeake has a large and active event venue scene for milestone celebrations — spots like The Venue at Chesapeake and banquet halls along Greenbrier Parkway fill up fast on Saturday nights. A Chesapeake birthday party bus rental adds a completely separate level to the night before the doors even open, arriving in style and keeping every guest on the same schedule instead of scattered across parking lots.
For Sweet 16 and quinceañera groups, a 15- to 25-passenger party bus is a popular fit — big enough for the core group, with onboard amenities that photograph well and keep the celebration going on every leg of the trip. Weekend hourly rates for a 25-passenger party bus run roughly $275–$375, and full-day packages are available for celebrations that span an afternoon and evening. You don't need an account to see pricing — just fill out the quick form or call 948-208-8200 any time to compare available vehicles for your date.

Chesapeake Concert Transportation & Shuttles
Most of Hampton Roads' major concert venues sit outside Chesapeake's city limits, which means every concert night involves a highway run — and a post-show exit on roads that weren't designed for 10,000 people leaving at once. Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater (1000 Amphitheater Way, Virginia Beach, VA 23455) draws crowds of up to 20,000, and the single-exit flow onto Amphitheater Drive and back to I-64 can trap cars for an hour or more after headliner sets. A charter bus with a dedicated post-show pickup window stages and moves when the lot clears rather than sitting in the general egress queue.
For arena-scale shows at Norfolk Scope Arena (201 E Brambleton Ave, Norfolk, VA 23510) or Hampton Coliseum (1000 Coliseum Dr, Hampton, VA 23666), downtown parking runs $15–$25 on event nights and sells out well before doors. A Chesapeake concert bus rental drops your group at the venue entrance and picks everyone up at a pre-set spot after the encore — no garage hunt, no surge pricing, no parking at all. Call 948-208-8200 to compare options for your show date.

Chesapeake Corporate Event Transportation
Chesapeake's corporate geography is spread across distinct corridors — the Greenbrier office park cluster near I-64 and Battlefield Boulevard, the Harbor View area off Route 17, and smaller industrial nodes in Western Branch and Deep Creek — which means moving a team between locations, or from any of those corridors into downtown Norfolk or Virginia Beach, involves a real highway commitment. The I-64/I-264 interchange at the Norfolk city line routinely backs up during business hours, and paid parking downtown Norfolk runs $10–$20 per vehicle per day.
A minibus or charter bus for a Chesapeake corporate event consolidates the team on one vehicle, holds a set schedule regardless of traffic conditions, and drops everyone at the entrance rather than scattered across a paid garage. For all-hands events, conference shuttles, or multi-day training rotations at a hotel like the Chesapeake Hilton Garden Inn, compare vehicle sizes and daily rates at 948-208-8200 — charter buses run roughly $1,350–$2,850 per day, which often undercuts the cost of parking reimbursements across a large team.

Chesapeake Private Event Transportation Services
Chesapeake's combination of suburban spread and proximity to Virginia Beach and Norfolk makes it one of the trickier markets in Hampton Roads for multi-stop private event itineraries. Getting a large group from a Great Bridge neighborhood to a waterfront venue in Portsmouth, then over the Downtown Tunnel to a dinner spot in Norfolk's Ghent neighborhood, involves three different road corridors and two potential tunnel backups — the Downtown Tunnel and Midtown Tunnel both charge tolls and can queue during peak hours.
A charter bus handles the routing cleanly and keeps every guest on the same vehicle rather than splitting across a caravan of cars that inevitably get separated at the tunnel entrance. For family reunions, church group outings, milestone birthday celebrations, or weekend festival shuttles to events like the Chesapeake Jubilee each May, a Chesapeake private event bus rental is the cleanest way to move a large group without the logistics headache. Compare vehicle sizes and rates at 948-208-8200 any time.

Chesapeake Homecoming & Prom Party Bus Rentals
Prom and homecoming season across Chesapeake's high schools — Oscar Smith, Deep Creek, Grassfield, Western Branch, Great Bridge, and Indian River — runs from late April through mid-May, and it is the single busiest window of the year for party bus demand across all of Hampton Roads. Every school holds its prom within roughly the same six-week stretch, and availability across the region gets thin fast. For prom: book by December or expect premium pricing or no availability.
A Chesapeake prom party bus rental booked in the fall costs significantly less than one booked in March — the difference can run several hundred dollars on peak Saturday nights. Parents also get the peace of mind of knowing the group has a set pickup and drop-off plan rather than relying on rideshares or parking at unfamiliar venues. Use the online form or call 948-208-8200 now to get started before the spring rush hits.

Chesapeake School Event & Field Trip Transportation
Chesapeake City Public Schools runs one of the largest school districts in Virginia, with campuses spread across a city that stretches from Greenbrier to the North Carolina border. Field trips to regional destinations — the Nauticus museum (1 Waterside Dr, Norfolk, VA 23510), the Virginia Zoo (3500 Granby St, Norfolk, VA 23504), or the Colonial Williamsburg campus roughly 45 miles up I-64 — require vehicles that can handle highway distances comfortably and provide space for student gear and lunches.
A Chesapeake school event bus rental offers charter buses with overhead bins, climate control, onboard restrooms for longer runs, and enough seating to keep a full class together rather than splitting across multiple vehicles. ADA-accessible options are available — just mention the requirement when requesting your quote. For trips to Nauticus, the bus drops off on Waterside Drive steps from the main entrance, avoiding the paid parking situation entirely for the school.
Call 948-208-8200 to get options for your trip date.

Chesapeake Sporting Event Transportation
Fan groups heading to Norfolk Tides games at Harbor Park (150 Park Ave, Norfolk, VA 23510) face a parking reality that catches first-timers off guard: the stadium sits on a narrow peninsula off Water Street, and the closest surface lots fill quickly on weekend nights. Downtown Norfolk street parking is heavily metered, and the walk from remote lots along Brambleton Avenue or near Scope Arena runs 10–15 minutes each way. A Chesapeake sporting event party bus drops your group at Harbor Park's main entrance on Park Avenue and picks everyone up at the same spot after the final out — no parking math, no metered countdown.
For ODU Monarchs games at S.B. Ballard Stadium (4601 Monarch Way, Norfolk, VA 23529) or basketball at Chartway Arena (4320 Hampton Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23529), the Hampton Boulevard corridor between ODU and I-64 gets congested on game days. A charter bus or minibus that arrives and departs on a fixed schedule cuts through that uncertainty cleanly. Call 948-208-8200 to compare party bus and charter bus options for your game date.

Chesapeake Wedding Transportation & Shuttle Service
Weddings in Chesapeake frequently span multiple locations across Hampton Roads — a ceremony at a Great Bridge church or garden venue, cocktail hour at a waterfront spot in Portsmouth or Suffolk, and a reception at a Greenbrier ballroom — with guests staying in hotel blocks along Battlefield Boulevard or near I-64. That combination of spread-out geography and guests unfamiliar with Hampton Roads' tunnel system makes a wedding shuttle an operational necessity, not a nice-to-have.
A Chesapeake wedding shuttle bus stages at the hotel block, runs guests to the ceremony on a set schedule, moves the group between stops, and handles the late-night return run after the reception — without asking anyone to navigate the Downtown Tunnel at 11 PM after an open bar. Minibuses seating 15–35 are the most popular fit for wedding guest shuttles; Sprinter limos are a guest fave for bridal party transportation on the wedding morning itself. Weekend rates for a minibus run $200–$275 per hour.
Call 948-208-8200 to build a custom wedding shuttle package.

Chesapeake Winery Tour & Pub Crawl Transportation
The rural western and southern reaches of Chesapeake — along Route 168 heading toward the North Carolina line and out through the Dismal Swamp corridor — put several Virginia wineries and farm breweries within a 30–45 minute drive of the city center, most reachable only by rural two-lane roads that are best handled on a single vehicle rather than a caravan of cars navigating them after a tasting flight.
For pub crawl itineraries staying closer to home, the Greenbrier Entertainment District along Greenbrier Parkway has a cluster of bars and restaurants within walking distance of each other — a party bus can stage nearby and run pickup between stops rather than forcing the group to track down rideshares between venues. A Chesapeake winery tour bus rental running a half-day loop typically falls in the $200–$275 per hour range for a minibus. Fill out the quick form or call 948-208-8200 to check availability for your date.

How much does a party bus cost in Chesapeake?
Party bus rental prices in Chesapeake run roughly $200–$350 per hour on weekdays and $200–$500 per hour on weekends for most vehicle sizes, with the range depending on the bus size, the date, and how far out you book. A 25-passenger party bus on a Saturday night typically runs $275–$375 per hour; a minibus for a weekday corporate shuttle can run $200–$250 per hour. Those are planning ranges, not quotes — pricing for your specific trip date and itinerary takes about a minute to pull up.
Call 948-208-8200 or use the online form to get your rate.
Where do buses drop off at Harbor Park for Norfolk Tides games?
Harbor Park sits on a small peninsula off Water Street in downtown Norfolk. Bus drop-off is on Park Avenue at the stadium's main entrance. The surrounding street grid is tight, and parking nearby is limited to a few small surface lots that fill quickly on weekend nights — a dedicated bus drop-off and pickup at the main entrance is genuinely the easiest approach for a group.
Check the Harbor Park bus rental guide for more detail, and review the official Tides directions page before your visit.
How do buses handle the Hampton Roads tunnels?
The Downtown Tunnel (I-264), Midtown Tunnel (US-58), and Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel (I-64) all carry commercial vehicle traffic with height and toll restrictions that vary by route. The HRBT's twin tunnels have a posted height clearance as low as 13 feet 6 inches on the older tube, which accommodates most charter buses. The Elizabeth River tunnels have similar restrictions.
Toll costs for commercial vehicles vary — the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel charges axle-based tolls, which are higher for multi-axle vehicles than for passenger cars. Transportation providers serving the area are familiar with these corridors and factor routing into the trip. Just make sure your quoted itinerary specifies any cross-tunnel stops so the route is planned correctly from the start.
What is the best vehicle size for a Chesapeake wedding shuttle?
For most Chesapeake wedding guest shuttles — running between a hotel block on Battlefield Boulevard or Greenbrier and a ceremony or reception venue — a 15- to 35-passenger minibus is the most practical fit. It's maneuverable enough for tighter venue driveways, seats a reasonable-size guest wave, and runs multiple loops on a set schedule without the per-trip surge of individual rideshares. For the bridal party specifically, a 14-passenger Sprinter limo adds the look without the bulk.
If your guest count runs 80 or more and you want to move them in fewer trips, a 40–56 passenger charter bus handles the volume cleanly. Call 948-208-8200 to figure out the right fit for your specific venue layout and guest list size.
What Chesapeake events should I book transportation for early?
A few dates get tight quickly across Hampton Roads: prom season (late April–May across Chesapeake City Public Schools), the Chesapeake Jubilee festival in May, summer concert season at Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater (June–September), and major ODU home football weekends. Virginia Beach's Patriot's Weekend and Something in the Water festival also spike demand across the region. For any of those windows, bus availability starts thinning out 8–12 weeks before the date.
For prom specifically, booking in the fall is strongly advised — spring booking will cost more and may come back with limited options across the city. Call 948-208-8200 as soon as your date is confirmed.
How far in advance should I book a party bus in Chesapeake?
For most events outside peak season, 3–6 weeks of lead time gives you solid options and reasonable rates. For peak periods — prom season, summer amphitheater concerts, Virginia Beach festival weekends, and major ODU home games — 2–4 months out is a smarter target, and for prom specifically, booking in the fall is strongly advised. The earlier you lock in, the more vehicle types and price points are available to compare.
Call 948-208-8200 or fill out the quick form as soon as your date is set.
Popular Chesapeake Party Bus Destinations
Chesapeake's location at the center of Hampton Roads puts your group within easy reach of major venues across the region — from waterfront stadiums in Norfolk to amphitheater headliners in Virginia Beach. Here are six destinations Chesapeake groups travel to most, and what you actually need to know before you go.

Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater
Virginia Beach's major outdoor amphitheater sits at 1000 Amphitheater Way, Virginia Beach, VA 23455, and holds up to 20,000 fans. The venue is roughly 25–30 miles from central Chesapeake — a straightforward run up I-64 East until the exit situation changes everything. Post-show exit traffic from the amphitheater is notoriously slow: Amphitheater Drive funnels the entire parking field back to a single I-64 on-ramp, and waits of 45–75 minutes after a headliner set are common on sold-out nights.
A charter bus that pre-stages for pickup clears the lot on the bus's schedule rather than sitting in the general queue. Read the full logistics breakdown in the Veterans United Amphitheater bus guide before your visit. Phone: (757) 368-3000

Harbor Park
Home of the Norfolk Tides, Harbor Park (150 Park Ave, Norfolk, VA 23510) is one of the more logistically compact stadiums in Minor League Baseball — it seats about 11,900 and sits right on the Elizabeth River in downtown Norfolk. Parking near the stadium is limited to a handful of small surface lots off Water Street that fill on weekend nights and charge $5–$10 per vehicle. The walk from remote lots in the Brambleton Avenue area runs 12–15 minutes.
A party bus or minibus drops your group at the Park Avenue entrance and eliminates the parking equation entirely. The full drop-off approach is covered in the Harbor Park bus rental guide. Check the official Tides directions page before game day.
Phone: (757) 622-2222

Norfolk Scope Arena
Scope Arena (201 E Brambleton Ave, Norfolk, VA 23510) is Norfolk's primary indoor arena — home to ODU Monarchs men's basketball on occasion, AHL Norfolk Admirals hockey, and a busy concert calendar. Its reconfigurable seating runs from about 10,250 for sporting events up to 13,800 for concerts, and it sits in the heart of downtown Norfolk, where event-night parking in the adjacent Scope Plaza Garage runs $10–$15 and fills quickly for sold-out shows. The arena is about 20 miles from central Chesapeake, but the I-264 westbound approach into downtown Norfolk backs up on event nights, particularly at the Waterside Drive interchange.
Bus drop-off is on Brambleton Avenue at the main arena entrance. The Scope Arena charter bus guide covers the full approach. Phone: (757) 664-6464

Hampton Coliseum
Hampton Coliseum (1000 Coliseum Dr, Hampton, VA 23666) is one of the most storied mid-size arenas on the East Coast — it has hosted everything from the Grateful Dead to NCAA regional tournaments and holds up to 13,800 for concerts (around 10,150 for basketball). It sits roughly 25 miles from Chesapeake via I-64 West and I-664 North, a stretch that can tighten significantly near the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel. Surface lots surround the coliseum, but post-show egress onto Coliseum Drive and back to I-64 runs slowly after big events.
A charter bus pre-stages for a coordinated pickup rather than joining the general lot exit. The full logistics picture is in the Hampton Coliseum bus rental guide. Check the official Hampton Coliseum visitor page before your event.
Phone: (757) 838-4203

Chartway Arena at ODU
Chartway Arena (4320 Hampton Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23529) is the home court for Old Dominion University athletics — it seats around 8,600 for basketball and hosts concerts, graduation ceremonies, and regional events throughout the year. The arena sits on ODU's main campus along Hampton Boulevard, a heavily trafficked corridor between I-64 and the Ghent neighborhood. On-campus parking during events is limited and requires pre-purchased passes; street parking along Hampton Boulevard fills fast.
From Chesapeake, the drive runs 20–25 minutes on a clear day via I-64 East and US-460 East, but game-day traffic on Hampton Boulevard itself can add 15–20 minutes to that final stretch. See the Chartway Arena group transportation guide for drop-off specifics. Phone: (757) 683-3367

Chesapeake City Park
Chesapeake City Park (900 City Park Dr, Chesapeake, VA 23320) is a 153-acre public park in the heart of the city and the anchor venue for the annual Chesapeake Jubilee — the city's biggest festival event, typically held each May and drawing tens of thousands of visitors over a multi-day run. During Jubilee weekend, parking throughout the Great Bridge and Battlefield Boulevard corridor becomes a legitimate problem, with overflow lots filling hours before gates open and residential streets in surrounding neighborhoods seeing enforcement activity. Groups arriving by bus can use the park's main entrance off City Park Drive with a pre-coordinated drop-off.
It's one of the rare Chesapeake events where a bus is not just convenient but genuinely the smarter move for a group of any size. Book well ahead of Jubilee weekend — availability across Hampton Roads tightens in the weeks before. Phone: (757) 382-6411
